Will I be charged sales tax?
Sales tax only applies to residence living in the state of Virginia.
Current Virginia sales tax is 6%. Tax is not applied to shipping.


How do I order by phone?
We would be happy to take your order over the phone. Give us a call @ 703-753-5111 to place your order.

How long will it take until I get my order?
It depends. Orders are usually shipped out the same day if the order is received by 2:00 p.m. EST. Next day shipping requests must be placed by 12pm on the date of purchase. However, this is not guaranteed, we do are best to get you the product as soon as possible. Next it depends on what shipping method you choose. We offer Ground shipping, 2 Day shipping, and next day shipping methods. We will use a variety of shipping companies to deliver your order in the best way possible. Ground shipping can take between 3-7 business days depending on where in the U.S. you are located. Your order will be shipped from our Manassas, VA location.

Do you ship outside the US?
riptideswimshop.com is still working on shipping internationally. We will work with you on a case-by-case basis, please call for more information. Our website is not currently set up to handle international orders.

Custom Made Orders:

Custom items are subject to custom order terms and conditions. Processing time for custom orders and collection customization are based on availability of materials needed for completion. Riptide Swim Shop will provide an estimated time of production for each custom item, usually 5 to 6 weeks. The estimated time of production does not include the design process or custom fittings. Expedited service may be available upon request. If expedited service is needed a rush fee and express delivery charges may apply.

Customer Acknowledgement:

The CUSTOMER acknowledges the garment purchased from Riptide Swim Shop is custom made for the CUSTOMER. As such, the CUSTOMER cannot return the item once the order is purchased. All sales of custom apparel are final sale. In that regard, Riptide Swim Shop relies on fitting sessions either onsite at Riptide Swim Shop or at the customer's location, allowing the customer to select a size that is appropriate for their individual purchase. Riptide Swim Shop strongly recommends the CUSTOMER come to the an fitting session in order to be properly fitted for their purchase. Riptide Swim Shop cannot be responsible for any faulty measurement made by the CUSTOMER or any subsequent failure of the garment to fit properly. According to Riptide Swim Shop all customer requested alterations on self-measured apparel or the change in size and/or shape of the customer shall be subject to standard alteration fees.

Some individuals are sensitive and/or allergic to latex and/or rubber intended for extended skin contact. Such sensitivity and/or allergic reaction can be severe. The CUSTOMER affirms the recommendation of Riptide Swim Shop to test a small patch of skin against the latex or rubber material before the purchase of the garment. The CUSTOMER agrees that Riptide Swim Shop shall not be responsible for any such sensitivity and/or allergic reaction the CUSTOMER may experience as a result of wearing the Riptide Swim Shop apparel. Furthermore, the CUSTOMER agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Riptide Swim Shop, its officers, employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all such claims whether based on contract, tort, or any other legal theory.

Riptide Swim Shop warrants the CUSTOMER the apparel to be created and delivered will be free from defects in material and workmanship. The warranty provided by Riptide Swim Shop is for a period of fourteen (14) days from the date of shipment or pick-up by Riptide Swim Shop to the CUSTOMER. If the apparel sold to the CUSTOMER fails, excepting wear and tear and/or abuse of the apparel during the warranty period Riptide Swim Shop shall correct any defect in the materials upon an examination of the apparel for wear and tear and/or abuse. The compliance of Riptide Swim Shop shall only ensue upon the prompt notification from the CUSTOMER to Riptide Swim Shop within the allotted warranty period. The CUSTOMER shall be responsible for all shipping costs of the apparel to and from Riptide Swim Shop. Under this warranty, the liability of Riptide Swim Shop, whether the claim is based on contract, negligence or any other legal theory, shall not in any case exceed the cost of correcting defects in the apparel. Upon the expiration of the warranty period all such liability of Riptide Swim Shop shall terminate.

The preceding details shall constitute the exclusive remedy of the CUSTOMER and the exclusive liability of Riptide Swim Shop. Under no circumstances shall Riptide Swim Shop be responsible for changing the size of the apparel due to a change in the physical size and/or shape of the CUSTOMER. The foregoing warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, whether written, oral, implied, or statutory. No warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose shall apply.

In no event, whether as a result of breach of contract, warranty, alleged negligence, or any other legal theory, shall Riptide Swim Shop be liable for special or consequential damages. Riptide Swim Shop shall not be liable for special or consequential damages including, but not limited to, loss of profits or revenue, loss of use of the apparel, cost of the apparel, cost of substitute apparel, facilities or services, downtime or event cancellation costs, or claims of the CUSTOMER for such damages.


Return Policy
Thank you for your purchase! We hope the entire order process has been a good one and that you'll find it beneficial when ordering with us again. If by chance you'd like to return an item under our "No-Risk 14-day Online Return Policy", please adhere to the following:


1.) The customer is responsible for the cost of shipment on all returns being sent back to "Riptide Swim Shop." Any return shipping fees will be charged to the customer as well.

2.) No returns will be credited after 14 days. After that, items may be exchanged only per agreement with Riptide Swim Shop. If you ship your product back to Riptide Swim Shop and the 14-day period has passed, your product will not be accepted by Riptide Swim Shop and will be shipped back to you AT YOUR EXPENSE.

3.) All items must be returned with the following:

  • The original tags and warranty information if there is any
  • A copy of invoice or receipt
  • Manufacturer's original packaging
  • Written course of action desired (credit account, exchange, etc..) - see below

4.) Only wetsuits may be returned "test-driven" (for sizing purposes) within the 14-day window. All other items must be returned in brand new condition. Any damage or unreasonable wear on "test-driven" items will be charged to the customer at the discretion of Riptide Swim Shop.

5.) Any damaged products must be reported to Riptide Swim Shop within two business days of receiving your package. It is the customer and/or receiver's responsibility to hold onto any packaging materials of any package or product that is damaged and requires a claim to be filed by Riptide Swim Shop. If this is not done, Riptide Swim Shop does not guarantee that any reimbursement will be issued.

6.) If you need to return an item you purchased "in-store," you must bring in a copy of the original invoice or receipt to receive store credit or your money back. The item must also be returned in perfect condition with the tags still attached. Again, you have 14 days after the date of purchase to make a "no-risk" return.

Discount ID Policy
Riptide Swim Shop will not be able to extend any special group related pricing or discounts to any individual without a valid club membership card. All members of clubs and organizations registered with Riptide Swim Shop, must present a valid club/organization card with a future expiration date.

Please understand that we offer discounts to a large number of groups, and it is just unfeasible for all of our employees to recognize or personally know which customers are members of a club or organization.

Furthermore, the discounts are partly designed to be a benefit for the members, and a reward for belonging to such groups. Consequently, it is important for the groups and organizations themselves that we require proof of membership; otherwise the benefit looses its meaning.

Please note that our system does NOT allow us to store discount codes attached to the customer information, and at the same time assign an expiration date. Because membership to the various groups changes often, we rely on the membership cards in order to offer the valid corresponding discounts.
